Connecting an SMS provider
Customer sign-in, booking confirmations and campaigns all go through it.
Settings → SMS. Four services: Eskiz, Play Mobile, getsms.uz, OneSignal. You sign the contract and you take the sender name through moderation.
- 1Choose the provider and enter its keys.
- 2Enter the sender name (the one that passed moderation).
- 3Check the text of the code message — it must contain {code}.
- 4Send a Test SMS and confirm it arrives on your phone.
⚠Test SMS is the main button on this page. Even when the keys look right, whether the sender name passed moderation and whether there is money on the account are both discovered when the first customer tries to sign in — and a restaurant reads that as «the site is broken».
⚠Without {code} the text will not save. Otherwise the customer receives a message with no code: the gateway accepts it, the SMS arrives, nothing errors anywhere, and the person cannot sign in.
Changing the text invalidates the moderation, so the «verified» flag is reset: a green tick sitting over a message the gateway has never seen is lying, and you find out when a customer cannot sign in.
Write in Latin script: 160 characters is one SMS. With Cyrillic the limit drops to 70, and one message can split into three.
