Order statuses
From arrival to handover: what each status means and who changes it.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| New | The order arrived and nobody has seen it. This is when the sound plays. |
| Confirmed | Accepted. If a till system is connected, the order goes to it at exactly this moment. |
| Preparing | In the kitchen. |
| On the way | Handed to a courier. This is what the customer sees on the tracking page. |
| Delivered | Done. From this point the money counts as revenue. |
| Cancelled | With a reason. There is no cancelling without one. |
Every change is stamped with a time — the card shows when the order was accepted and how long it took.
⚠The order goes to the till on confirm, not on arrival. The reason: a till is somebody else's bookkeeping, and a mistake sent there has to be cancelled by hand.
