Accepting an order, and the sound
What happens when an order arrives, and what to do when there is no sound.
A new order plays a sound and raises a banner at the bottom right. The sound repeats until Accept is pressed — deliberately: a single chime is not heard on a busy evening.
No sound
- 1Check the Sound on button at the bottom left of the panel.
- 2The browser has to allow sound. Click anywhere on the page once — browsers only let audio through after a first click.
- 3Check that the computer's own volume is not muted.
There is a «Quiet for 5 minutes» button — useful while talking to a guest. The sound comes back on its own.
