Kitchen printers: what prints where
Hot section, cold section and bar — each gets its own ticket.
Each category is attached to a printer: «Drinks» → the bar, «Hot dishes» → the kitchen. When an order arrives, each printer gets only its own lines.
- The ticket carries the table or order number, the time and the dish names — no prices.
- The customer's note («no onions») prints on this ticket.
- If dishes are added to an order, only the new lines print.
⚠A category with no printer attached prints nowhere. Check this when you add a category — it is the most common cause of a ticket that never came out.
