The store-based stop list
Stopping dishes automatically when ingredients run out — and why it is off by default.
Menu → Stop list → «Stop by store». With it on, a dish short of ingredients cannot be sold on the till or on the site.
⚠Off by default, and deliberately. Refusing a sale is the most expensive thing this system can do, and the balance behind it is an estimate: a restaurant that has not entered Tuesday's invoice would have its till refusing food that is on the shelf.
An uncounted store stops nothing. Zero has two meanings — «none» and «nobody said» — and only the first is grounds for refusal. This is the one guard that keeps the menu from emptying on the day the feature is switched on.
«Not enough for one portion» is the same statement as «out», only measured against the dish: 200 g of meat against a 500 g card is a dish that cannot be cooked.
