How the store works

The chain: ingredient → tech card → delivery → sale → write-off → count. Each step gives its own number.

The store section answers two questions: what a portion costs and what is left on the shelf. Both come out of one chain.

  1. 1Ingredients — what you buy and for how much (kilo, litre, piece).
  2. 2Tech cards — what goes into one portion. The cost comes from here.
  3. 3Deliveries — the invoice: what arrived, from whom, at what price. Prices update from here.
  4. 4Sales — dishes sold are deducted through their cards. This is automatic.
  5. 5Write-offs — spoiled, spilled, staff meals.
  6. 6Stocktake — the count. «What should be there» is measured from it.
Store screens require a branch. With several, pick one at the top; a single-branch restaurant is never asked.
The order to start in: ingredients → tech cards → a first count → deliveries entered regularly. Without a count, «what should be there» is an estimate over every delivery ever made.
